This week we will discuss glycolysis and mitochondrial electron transport. The emphasis will be on the overall function of these processes, their locations, and how they operate under various physiological stresses. There are numerous websites available offering tutorials, illustrated explanations and diagrams of the structures and processes involved in glycolysis and respiration. Browse through as many as you wish in the set of links below in order to fill gaps in your knowledge. When you feel comfortable with the material, connect to the University of Arizona's "Biology Project" site and answer the questions in the Metabolism Problem Set. Read the tutorials and explanations as you go through this excellent website! Write your answers on a printed answer form.
